What do i need to get started?

To start a production conversation we need to know as much of the following information as possible:

  • Quantity (how many do you need? Are they all the same or are there several versions?)

  • Desired size (flat or folded)

  • Budget (either the price per piece or the overall budget for the project)

  • Any desired design specifications that you have in mind: papers, inks, foils, etc.

  • Do you have a physical sample of the contents? Being able to send us a sample so we can size things exactly always results in a better fit

  • Do you have any references to other packaging/printing projects that will help us understand your vision?

  • When do you need these in-hand? (Custom products take time).

What is the process like?

The process to produce custom products is custom and unique to every project depending on what your exact needs are. The approximate process you can expect is:

  1. Send us a request by calling or emailing (provide as much as the above information as possible)

  2. Consultation with our team to clarify (we will follow-up to your request). Based on this conversation we will let you know if we think this project is a good fit for our studio.

  3. Production quote based on the consultation. Invoices must be paid in full prior to design and production unless otherwise communicated.

  4. Revisions. Since each design is custom, multiple revisions may be necessary. Allow approx 1 day per round of revisions.

  5. Production proofing. This is for you to review final .pdf production files and approve. Please take this approval process very seriously (we encourage folks to review their proofs on a computer screen and NOT on a mobile device). Changes after this point are very costly (any fees related to changes after proof approval will be invoiced to the client with full payment required).

  6. Production. This varies widely between products and does not start until final proof approval and full invoice payment.

  7. Shipping. Shipping options are discussed and included in the original invoice. Any specific shipping directions should be provided prior to production so we can provide the most accurate shipping quotes/options.

What Does printing cost?

Each project is priced with quantities, inks, papers, die-cuts and special finishing or assembly taken into consideration. Our work requires more hands-on attention in the press-room. The result is a premium quality finished product with pricing that is individualized.
 

How much should i order?

We advise people to look at the next 12 – 18 months of their company. If you are unsure, our staff is well versed in projections and can offer assistance.
 

What is the thickest paper you offer?

We can offer up to 80pt thickness. For comparison, the average business card is 14pt to 16pt thick.
